Missions
"So then, whenever we have and opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith" Galatians 6:10
Who We Are
First Baptist Church of Clinton is a vibrant, growing, people-loving community of faith. For over 125 years, First Baptist has been a place where individuals have found meaning, families have found healing, and people have found strength.
If there’s one word that characterizes First Baptist, it’s missions. Much has been given by First Baptist to support missionaries, build churches, purchase equipment, print literature, educate ministers, feed the hungry, and care for those in need.
The commitment to missions, however, goes beyond mere giving of dollars. For over two decades, First Baptist has annually sent out missions teams to preach the gospel, care for those in need and help other churches do their work (build churches, ministry centers, housing).
There’s one other gauge of our commitment to the cause of Christ in missions. For over 125 years, God has called out men and women from among us to devote their lives vocationally to His service. There is a legacy of missions-minded ministers (both men and women) here.
